Sandra David, Publishing Director at Arrow Gate, has acquired world all language rights to Oxford-based assistant Headteacher C D Fox’s debut novel, Dreams.
The author was born in Bromley, southeast London. He attended Stamford School and the University of Sheffield and earned two master’s degrees from the Universities of Warwick and Oxford, respectively. When he gets a break from teaching, he enjoys playing cricket during the summer holidays. Other hobbies include reading.
The synopsis reads: “Hugh Swann, the son of an eminent psychiatrist, is a shy social misfit in his first term at Oxford University. Things are looking up with a new girlfriend and new experiences until a series of strange dreams start plaguing him. When his father offers psychiatric treatment to a mysterious woman with a troubled past, Hugo’s dreams worsen. Before long, their paths will cross, but as Hugo tries to help the woman, he finds himself in need of psychiatric assessment. As catastrophe looms, it’s down to Alice, Hugo’s brilliant girlfriend, to find the answers. But will he want to learn the truth of what she discovers?
Dreams: when the reality is worse than a nightmare.”
Arrow Gate will publish Dreams in December 2022.
C.D. Fox is looking forward to seeing his first book in print. He commented,
“I am delighted that Arrow Gate Publishing has chosen to publish my novel, Dreams. I’d had the story in my head for years and could finally write it during the lockdown. To say I’m over the moon about being published would be an understatement, and my thanks must go to the team at Arrow Gate for believing in Dreams as much as I do. I cannot wait to share this story with the world.”
